Eleplants Nursery is situated at Piltdown in East Sussex, on the edge of the beautful Ashdown Forest. It was started originally as the classic farmer branching out growing plants for wholesale, but in the past 18 years I have established our nursery business and are now a familiar, well known nursery with stands at leading garden shows across the country, including  RHS shows, county shows, and also local events.
Take a look at our events calander !
I try to ensure my valued customers have an ever-changing choice, I'm currently growing over 400 varieties of plants and although not specialising, I have a love for unusual Australian and New Zealand shrubs. I always grow the good old favourites and I'm constantly sourcing and growing the more unusual plants for the discerning connoisseur and the gardener who just wants something different.
Being a small nursery, I give all our customers and
orders the personal touch, so you can buy from us
with confidence. I pride myself on what we do, operating
a no-nonsense approach to plants and speaking honestly about them (especially me, for those of you that know me!)
Nursery stock is home grown, many grown from my own cuttings.
I grow an extensive range of Shrubs, Perennials, Grasses and Climbers. I also do a small selection of seasonal plants such as winter
prepared bulbs in pots, summer bedding …etc.

Eleplants Nursery is ministry inspected by

..........Yes, even certain plants need passports

The team at Eleplants? …that's debateable! The business is run by me, Martin Batchelor and daughter Louise ( a craft and jewellery designer with a plant bias )  and with help from daughter Sarah a horticulturist in her own right.

We are all plant lovers  who has transformed our liking of plants into

a love of plants; from a hobby to a business.

Priding ourselves on producing quality plants at affordable prices.

Having now fully moved away from farming, Eleplants has my
undivided attention!! The nursery is still located at my former
farm on land retained and therefore is currently not open to the
public. I am always willing to show you around by appointment
but I must stress this is a growing nursery…so ladies no high heels!
